Cliché Cliché, your words mean nothing do they Hopeless my dreams lie In abandoned spray Thoughtless words tossed to me Told of a dream That won’t now be Cliché, so trite meaningless dross Left me crucified On lost heart’s cross Alone and desperate I hang here Pierced through My soul with liar’s spear Cliché, such lies you used to cover me So blinded by love That I couldn’t see I’d kept hope alive now its dead Done to death By all you said Cliché, I can’t believe I fell for you Naively I thought The cliché true Now I’m paying the price of faith While my spirit withers And becomes a wraith Cliché, I’ve given up and given in To suffer like this The price of sin Maybe one day there’ll be no pain But will that cliché Come around again Emma Eternity, stands laughing at old time for ages? In the grand ancestral line Of things eternal, mounting to divine [This message has been edited by andEmmamakes3 (06-29-2002 02:04 PM).] |

We may lose our faith in the human spirit for the disappointments we encounter, but faith in love can never be cliche or lost, keep believing in that even when the one you love lets you down and you can't go wrong... Powerfully done there Emma girl, you excelled your mum and sis with this one! ((hugs)) Dulci and Jeff |
