Each time the ear is victimized by assault of noise so loud, it leaves a ringing in the head-- a tone is lost--a loss profound. If this happens regular-- should drum of ear be raped by waves-- total deafness can occur-- and music is a dirge of grave. I thought of this and thought of you-- how each day I'm less surprised-- how oaths of love now ring untrue-- I bury bits of us that died. Tears (now rare) catch me off-guard. I am bitter, cold, and hard. Remember, please, you wrote these rules when I am deaf to cries from you. [This message has been edited by serenity (06-28-2002 12:11 AM).] |

Damn, do I ever understand this! And am more grateful than I can say that certain people no longer live under my stairs...lol. Forgetting all I'm lacking |

Whoah, I have *so* definitely been there. Though somehow he can't understand that I *am* now deaf to him. Y'd think a year would be enough, huh? "Sooner or later, they'll never grow up." -Jim Steinman (unreleased and almost completely unheard, but hey) |
