Love, peace, and rock and roll

My new challenge is to write a piece about how music changed your look on life.

Rules:

1) Please only pick one song to reference metaphorically in your poem. More than one song may have influenced you, but use only one for metaphors. This means you can reference more than one, but can only pick one song as a theme.

2) may have any format.

3) have fun

4) add challenge at the end of poem title or reply with link

Here's one more, juju, about an event that caused a lot of reflection in my mind.

This is a good challenge!

I tried to post a revised and re-written poem I had posted in 2003.  It was written with a special song threaded through it.

I revised it to make it more understandable.

Apparently, it is no longer acceptable and so, I could not post it.

My bad.

It still was a good challenge and it left me with a fine poem I can post elsewhere.

Thanks.

Try posting the whole poem as if it were a new poem with revised or repost in the title, icebox. That might work. If it doesn't then maybe email the forum moderator and ask for advice. They'll be glad to help you if they can.

Thank you for the advice, but I did try to post it that way.  Arguing about semantic thought crime lost what little allure it had for me decades ago.  The moderators are over worked as it is.

The events that were the source of the poem were formative at that time in my life; I am pleased with this revision, so I was grateful for the "Challenge" and that is enough for me.  I may leave it on another table, or save it for a different venue or just tuck it into a file I created a while ago called "Unacceptable at PiP."
