A poem I wrote awhile back, hope you enjoy it I wish I could stop time, So I can be with you for all eternity, There must be a way, To stop the flowing rivers of time, From reaching the ocean of ending life, Since time allows us to move on ahead, I wish we can just stay where we are, And be together forever, Sometimes I look at time, Seeing how time is the only thing We can't escape From our lives I sometimes look at my past Hoping to regain On what has been lost, To go back To get back Would mean to lose everything That I have now Time is like a river, Steadily flowing by, Carrying our dreams, Memories, And wishes To the future Death comes as time goes on, If time stopped we would surely be We would be together for sure... Time cannot be stopped, But if I was able to go back, I would go all the way back to the day, I was able to meet you, So I can always spend even more time with you, We are on the river of time... Soon reaching the ocean... Once we reach the ocean Our lives would end, Time keeps going on... Till that day let’s slow time... So we can be together a bit longer Now I am a bird... delaying time So I will never reach the ocean of ending life. |

Keeping a hold on time is almost as hard as skitching on the bumper of a '64 GTO over speed bumps! All jokes aside, your poetry hits home for lovers everywhere. If time were obedient though, would we value each other as much? The two in the garden had each other forever in perfect health, but it wasn't enough. ...just bein' Bluesy |
