Ok thanks to a little suggestion from Ringo, I have decided to give you a double challenge, part one to the challenge is to put down your favourite quote, part two to the challenge is that you now need to turn the quote into a poem.

Have Fun, Hugs Fee

Wow... I don't remember sugesting this, however I will see what I can do with it... my Muse has decided to abandon me as of late... perhaps this will win her back.

An author values a compliment
even when it comes from a source of doubtful competency.
- Mark Twain

I know you don't know what to think
Your best thoughts come when you take another drink
from that bottle you hold in your hand
You spout editorial phrases and can barely stand
That's really quite alright, you know
Say all you want before you go
No, I am not holding the door wide for you
I am just letting the hot air flow through
From your mnouth to God's ear, so to speak
You go on like a faucet that leaks or a stair that creaks
continuously.  Do you ever quiet?
Your thoughts of my writing are a riot!
You who can't write a shopping list
Holding that bottle tightly in your fist
I know you can do much better than me
Here's a paper and pen, have a go - you'll see.
I't's like the words from Twain I once read
Let me think and remember what he said.
Oh!
"An author values a compliment
even when it comes from a source of doubtful competency."
He didn't mean one like you, that I can clearly see.
You know just what you speak about
When you grow quiet just show yourself out!

As man now is, God once was; as God is now man may be.
Lorenzo Snow

Heavens golden gate,
Man once dreamt,
As God is now,
We will be, at our own pace.

To be almighty strong,
Man once dreamt,
As God is now,
We too will live that long.

lorenzo snow the prophet. he was a great man. nice quote. it's one of my facorites.

now here's my go at it.

Tom Clancy:
The difference between fiction and reality? Fiction has to make sense.

If one were to sit and dream
Nothing odd would seem
To stand in the way
Of harmonious display

But then,
Do we all have a fictitious desire?

Real things can happen sometimes
Though, reality doesn’t do rhymes
So our heads are all down
And we’re knelt on the ground

For a moment,
None cares for the truth

A moment in time is quite real
It happens to those who feel
But nothing is better
That hopes and a sweater

In June,
The sun on the snow
