I lost a dear friend to cancer tonight..........she was the woman that put the newsletters together at work........anyway.......before she passed away she asked me to write a very short poem about mothers so she can put it in the newsletter. I already submitted one but I thought it'd be fun to turn it into a challenge. The only rule i have is that it has to be no more than 10 lines .........i'd like it to be funny......or endearing. ( preferrably funny because i could use a laugh and she was one of those people that enjoyed a good sense of humor) so this is the challenge..........write me a short humorous or endearing poem about mothers.......it can not be any more than 10 lines....here are a few of my entries. my mother is a charming woman Filled with beauty and wit, But if you ask my father this He'll say she's full of **** . ( 2nd entry) Mothers are filled with charm and good cheer But fathers are filled With bologna and beer. (3rd entry) What more could you ask of a mother Than love, charm and good grace, For you my dear mother Are the smile I wear on my face. (4th entry) No matter the reason, whatever the reason, For she is ALWAYS there. The woman who has shown to me A love beyond compare. She's always been the patient one Always managing to stay calm, This woman is my saving grace And i'm proud to call her "mom." |
