Sense no one is making any challenges, i guess ill make one myself.. Here it is:

1. Only 4 words per line,
2. Has to be at LEAST 8 lines.
3. Cant use letters: A, Z, D, and C.
4. Cant use words: Dead, The, Cant, and See.
5. Must not be funny, and must make sense.

I dont really think anyone is going to take this challenge, but i thought i'de give it a chance.

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.

That was a lot harder than I thought it should have been.  If I could have used an 'a' once in a while, I would have been fine.

I think I can, I think I can.

       Pretty Kitty

Pretty Kitty went hunting
For one little mouse.
Pretty Kitty brought prey
Into my new house.

Mouse got on bed.
I took my broom.
Hit pretty little kitty
For bringing mouse home.

(You didn't say it had to be beautiful and the kitty certainly doesn't think it's funny.  Do I pass?

Yeesh, that was hard! I never realized how often I used the letter D.

every time i try
to push myself more,
i must lose sight
of my true gifts.

empty lines before me-
ever to be full?
i hope so, for
my impetus burns brightly.

for now, i simmer
like some forgotten stewpot
hoping to be flowing
into vessels of kings.

Wow! You responders make it look so easy!!! Look how in just the one sentence above I used every tabu letter but one...it's easy to stay away from "z."

I might try the challenge, too.

Slothful Morning

Waking up in dawn,
Yearning for tea scent,
I lay my head
Beside my infancy dolls.

Slothfully I breathe in
Then exhale in exhaustion-
Today I'm trapped sleepily
Within my own bed.

No way!  I can't even think hard enough not to use an 'a'...  Nice challenge but my lazy brain says absolutely nay.

Yes I know I'm slow but I wasn't around when this 1st posted
Gawd it's hard not using an A

Though I wish it
Tis not to be
Yet still I long
To be with thee

Must I just pine
For you every night
Or will it somehow
Turn out just right
