Hehe, I'll start a new thread, this is taking Poet deVine's idea and a poem I think has a little relevance this week. I'll tell ya what it is if a couple people give it a shot. sky, stone, die, throne lie. them, them lie. There it is, the challenge to take these words, each the final word of a line of poetry, and fill in the begining of each line... Also, if you have a poem you'd like to try this with, post it, I'd love to give it a shot! "A hard, cold wisom is required for goodness to accomplish good. Goodness without wisdom always accomplishes evil" - Robert Heinlein |

From first light of star in winter sky, to rest behind the burial stone, for us did our Saviour die, No king upon an earthly throne but in a manger the babe did lie. His life lived for men, all of them, His life taken, for sins, all o f them He gives the truth to every lie. |

Evening sun in western sky Casts shadow 'cross the stone Where lies the soldiers left to die On battle's crimson throne Promises of peace a lie The truth would sure destroy them No hero song was sung for them In silence now they lie ~vlraynes "...until you have read the verse on his heart, you have not truly met the poet. ~vlraynes [This message has been edited by vlraynes (12-30-2001 06:07 AM).] |

Wow! I'm impressed you guys. I love both of your poems! I thought with the repeating words in the last couple lines it might be a little difficult, guess I was wrong The poem is from the Lord of the Rings, it's the little poem about the Rings of Power.. which I don't think I can repost here. Thank you both for accepting my challenge "A hard, cold wisom is required for goodness to accomplish good. Goodness without wisdom always accomplishes evil" - Robert Heinlein |
