"I AM"

I am (two special characteristics you have)
I wonder (something you are actually curious about)
I hear (an imaginary sound)
I see (an imaginary sight)
I want (an actual desire)
I am (the first line of the poem repeated)

I pretend (something you actually pretend to do)
I feel (a feeling about something imaginary)
I touch (an imaginary touch)
I worry (something that really bothers you)
I cry (something that makes you very sad)
I am (the first line of the poem repeated)

I understand (something you know is true)
I say (something you believe in)
I dream (something you actually dream about)
I try (something you really make an effort about)
I hope (something you actually hope for)
I am (the first line of the poem repeated)

I would like to thank XAngel for originally giving us this challenge some two years ago. The rules are simple....you gotta use the format provided above, and it should be about you, in some fashion. However, the rhyme scheme is totally up to you.

This challenge is especially for teens and other newer members who would like a good ice-breaker.

Enjoy!

I may try this one again!  Two years ago this challenge resulted in one of my personally favorite works, plus it earned me a ton of gratifying and uplifting remarks from my fellow poets.  Actually, when I read this "re-challenge" it brought up a lot of good feelings from the first time - thank you for the spirit lift...

I tried this challenge before in the other
Open Forum. I think that I'll try it again.
It was fun before.

I have met people,so many that I lost count
I have passed people without even a glance
I have lost people who were very dear
I have been lonely for as long as I can fear
I have loved people but have not been loved
I have a lot of baggage but I think I can carry more
I have met people but none whom I loved more....

I have loved you more than I thought I could
I have missed you with every hearbeat
I have thought of you more often than I ought to
I have seen you wih my eyes closed and let me tell you
I haven't seen clearer before
I have never seen someone so beautiful

May be...its beacause
I have never been in love before.

I could be here
I could be in a salad
I could be out of town
I could be in paradise
I could be anywhere
I could be near the refrifgerator
I could be on the roof
I could be in Mesopatamia
I could be back in the salad again
I could be anywhere (
I could be in Transit
I could be in bed
I could be incandescent
I could be in I could be out
It dosen't matter leave me alone
I could be anywhere
I could be back in the salad again..
