Can we try that again? Just for me??? *hopeful smile* All the phrases, submitted under that challenge by Poet DeVine really really helped me get out from under a writers block and from falling into a rut. Can all of you throw out a phrase or two?

This one is one which I came up with while listening to a CD of musical scores. Anyhow, I figured this would be a really powerful last line in a tragic poem or story. I plan to use it in one of my own major projects, but I'm sure it won't kill me if I share it here for others to use as well, not that it's all that original: "Forgive me mother, for I have failed you." Here are a couple others that i've just come up with now, lol: What has been demanded has come about We are the last, and the beginning "If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh" |

Your love is like chunky peanut butter Sometimes it's Skippy, sometimes Jif you think you're Peter Pan but that only causes a tif. I am smooth and you are nuts but together we make a good blend who says we can't live together stuck to the roof of life till the end (I know it stinks!! LOL) |

I wrote a poem using the phrase "lost in twilight hues" and posted it in teen. If anyone cares, it's there to read. These phrases are great. I will try to get back with some of my own later, but I have to go now. Bye. ....peace as a primary objective is dangerous because it implies that we would sacrifice any principle for the sake of it.... |

within this life I found you Never knew what it would be Never knew what life held I thought I was forgotten No where to turn or hide I thought love passed me by Life was a miserable and Aimless string of days I just wanted to be over I was searching for an end Life held nothing for me Until you came to into it Turned my life right around And my searching was ended The good had finally returned And I could smile once again I never knew love existed until Within this life I found you. "Generation X" You look down on us The forgotten children End of a century And bringers of anew You fear us We see it in your eyes Yet you curse us You call us lazy Yet we work hardest Your salvation relies On children in a world Of hate and violence Thrown in front of a tv From the beginning Because it kept us quiet Given medicine like Ritalin, because you Didn't feel like putting up With us We have been taught To hate those who Are different and yet We know our strength Lies in our adversity We continue to grow Stronger with each day And we are beginning To prove you wrong Not by violence, Like you showed us But by suceeding In all that we do. We are the last Of a century's Children. We are the first In a whole line of Fighters, Thinkers And Workers, The likes of which This country has Never seen. We are the last, And the beginning. Thanks for the inspiration ~Susie ~*~Born to Blossom and Bloom to Perish~*~ [This message has been edited by Angel (edited 07-22-2001).] |
