Here's my contribution to the challenge! (I accidently posted it the first time in the wrong thread!) If you were Annie’s mom, I’d have to call you Mrs. Gish, and Joe takes trombone lessons and on Fridays they eat fish David’s mom says "put that down! Or you’ll take out your eye and keeps the cookies in a jar up on a shelf real high. If you were not my mommy, who would wash my face with care and always use the nice brush, not the mean one on my hair? And who would watch the thunderstorms flashing in the night, eating popcorn by the window, in the dark without the light? Who’s favorite color in the world is red, and mine is too, and who could teach me funny songs, the funny way you do? Who could smile and be so proud, when I do all my chores, who’s little hand but mine, could fit exactly inside yours? Would someone else believe me, when I say that I can fly? And tell me I could reach the stars if only I would try? If you were not my mommy, then who’s child would I be? And if you saw me on the street, who’s child would you see? Thank you mom, for choosing me, I’m happy that you did, I don’t think I'd want to be someone else’s kid! [This message has been edited by Debbie (edited 10-13-2000).] |
