Hey everyone!!!!
I got a wierd idea... How about a chain poem?
I will post here as a reply the first 4 lines, and if you want you can add to it!!

Rules:

1. only 4 lines per reply
2. you may enter more then once, but you may not   reply twice in a row. In other words there has to be a reply of another poet in between...
3. Keep with the theme please...

Hope you will join me in this crazy sounding effort for a challenge!

A CHAIN of PAIN and LOVE

Locked I am within
A chain made of sorrow
But my key is made of love
To break free from my chain

I have but one love to free love's captive
For mine heart yearns after thine heart only...
How do I swoon thine love in battle's midst?
How do I forge thus key to prison's door?

Little do I know how to break through the heartless shackles,
Clueless I am and completely pained in sad demystified awe,
Just last time we met, we shared pleasant moments in chuckles,
Tonight I am lost, floating in memories of your promised love.

The hearthless shackles are lies
Seducing lonely moments
To your arms enlaced in memories
Calling truth to unlock the fantasy

Let then the ultimate truth by itself be unravelled,
May the mystery behind the painful silence disappear,
May sad roads on this night that my heart travelled,
Be replaced by your pleasant aura, may love reappear.

I rebuke thou tempestuous viper!
A knight's chivalry breaks thine dragon's head...
I destroy thine evil lies, Oh Lucifer!
And return mine Love's undying favor.

My quest is unending
To find my key of love
To open this treacherous chain
And be free to love again

Unshackle me from these prisoned walls,
Bring out the love laying deep inside,
Rid me off the pain from my soul's halls,
May, in these chambers, love again reside.

Thou art mine dragon slayer, most Lovely,
In quest of mine hallucinatory key...
I know thine love shalt return from battle's cry--
I know thine love shalt open mine bosom's door--

Love unfettered is my goal
But for now this pain rages,
Requite my love, find the key
Be the one whom my pain assuages!

It sounds so great,
This mission to find love divine.
But the key is old,
The lock rusted shut.

At mine knight's conquest shalt bygones pass
As shalt mine drudgery's garments unfurl...
Alas, unshackled chains fall to vibrant streets!
Alas, emotions race naked to victory's arms!

Finally I found my key
I unlock my chain
Yet sadness fills me
You are not there

I told you so it was just fantasy
Love only exists in poetry
In real life only pain survives
A dream passing through our lives

Mine victory stolen!  Mine knight captive!
Seduced by thou evil wench's sorcery...
To whom shalt I controvert love's defeat?
Shalt I plunge mineself in arms of darkness?

You shall not give up so easy
But in the arms of the One
That gives peace that surpasseth all
Understanding you can dance your darkness away

Then take away this darkness
residing deep inside this soul,
Throw upon this evil darkness,
Let love through the soul's hole.

Why upon my noble head
The scars of darkness burn?
One must learn to love ones self
Before true loves returned

i seem to be late of the party

And whilst I await loves bright return
each day seems to grow darker evermore
I'm fearful that the light I yearn
Will blind night eyes to my love of yore

Deep into love's mirror I gaze
Only to to see a skull in grey,
Help shatter this glass of craze
Erase the painful hurt, I pray.

Perhaps!  There is hope
For love to come for some
But for others love is a stranger
Waiting to be invited

I shalt displace mine fine satin garments
With brazen steel and a cloak of  vengeance...
I shalt annihilate thine darkness, Satin!
And destroy mine Love's infatuation.

I just want to look one more time
At the invitation of love in chain
Will I turn into a statue of salt
Painfully realizing I can't let go

I rise mine sword in thou eyes of darkness
And scream at thou fleeting wind, "I am free!"
Mine chain removed, I race on velvet wings...
Mine pain endured, I love in words that sing...

I wait for my beloved knights return,
only he holds the key for which I yearn,
for it is only he within my heart so felt,
only he can unlock this chastity belt!< !signature-->

t'was a dream I yearned to breathe
the key is gone to heaven above
while I remain and softly grieve.

Alas, my valiant Knight is dead, I grieve
not so much for him but for the golden key.
Alas, there is another I have spent my time with,
who is it you may ask, why the local locksmith!

And so it was done, the locksmith called,
Who fitted a key of his own,
Now a widow am I, I mourn no more,
My heart belongs to the one with a key

Swell, my pain of chain is gone
As well as the love of chain
I have decided to follow Jésus
The healer of us all
And I would not be surprise
If i jump right in another
chain of pain and love of chain

The King's locksmith gallantly rushed to free me.
For inside his tunic was the master gold key.
My promise I must keep, it wouldn't be right.
But when he's not looking, I scout out the Knights.
