ok you guyz here is my challenge to you ... write something that deals with your experiences with writers block, and if your lucky enough to have not had it yet... write what you think it would be like to you ... Here's what I have ... I stare at the blank starkness of the page, never having confronted this most feared deamon-until now a writers worst nightmare revealed how do I make the words flow smoothly once again? or am I like an undiscovered star, burnt out to become star dust no one the wiser that it even existed I search frantically for a cure awaiting the sounding of the alarm to awaken me, reassure me that I am dreaming, but ... nothing suddenly my mind seems as blank as the page that I now fill with words- words that mean nothing and everything all in one breath Good luck ... but most of all have funnnn!!!!! ~*Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, and ends with a tear*~ |

Deep within this poet’s forest Hidden behind Roget’s Thesaurus Sits a book so innocently Birthed from some sweet ancient tree I thank the tree most every night Its life was given without a fight As lumberjack with saw in hand Cut it from some wooded land The edges worn from poet’s fingers A scent of pine I swear still lingers Creating poems for passionate times Thankful for a dictionary that rhymes! |

This is something I wrote and posted previously... Is writing block a mental constipation giving gaseous grumbling alliteration No grunting, no groaning will prevail so I sit here and endure my travail. Would fibrous words of wooded glen cause these words to flow again Chemicals never were my forte so I sit here, without words to say. Twiddle my thumbs, rearrange my file (thank God I am a bibliophile!) Waiting to feel the signs of release give me words and give me peace! I spy on my shelf a dictionary of rhyme and suddenly, all is fine! Such a relief! Now I can relax, I just got a dose of mental ex-lax! |
