Okay. . . I have another one for all of you. . . Write me a poem that begins with the line: "Melody of my heart, song of my life. . ." I may write two or three with this line before it's all over. . . I know that this challenge will be met with wonderful poems and I am looking forward to reading them! ---------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

Melody of my heart, song of my life Searching for the perfect note To match the beating of my strife I manage to put a smile on my face Singing alone with the one in mind Whose out in jail crying to find My head against the wall Wailing over his fall The doors are shot close For us to smell the rose Growing in my yard In the ground so hard Is impossible Sitting at the table Together In the blender We just don't mix How can you fix Something that just don't fit When the light is lit But he can write songs About how much he longs For me to hear how good he is Claiming my life his I wish it could be true It is only a brew To get drunk on When we can't get no satisfaction From the juke-box In my socks Standing up ready to dance My trance Melody of my heart, song of my life monique [This message has been edited by monique (edited 07-25-2000).] |
