I Have To Rodeo |

Thirty miles from Phoenix- By an over-heated truck… On my way to Needles- And way down on my luck. Rodeo’s my calling, And my only claim to fame- I wired ahead my entrees… Not a nickel to my name… But rodeo’s my mistress- And a harsh one she has proved… Paying off in heartache, I’m always on the move. No time for home or family- Eating out of cans… Drawing dinks in small town shows… A bunch of “also rans ”. But win or lose, no matter what- I guess I have to go- To ride in one more go around. I have to rodeo. |

I envy you in the aspect that you have recognized the compelling voice of your calling. Always inspirational your pieces are. |
