The room sketched In it Three irate hearts. Austere subject. Yet, turquoise light Indicates go. Agitated I stood, Protected by temperament. Flames traipsed from lips Cranium’s ego infiltrated. These lifelong Friendships tested. The clarity of ones Point the pivot of it all. My bellow for peace, Concealed by timid lips. While eyes pendulum Between this fuming pair. Friends…My friends. Then its uttered. The unthinkable notion. Wretched meaning. Implicating. Confiscates with Breath's dissonance. Making an exodus Are all words and sounds. Trio we now stand saturated In naked silence. copyright ©2002 hayden a. james My poetry is at: http://www.thehayden.org |
