For many years I hiked the California hills just to see the Columbine basking in the sunshine, showered by the ocean breeze shaded by hardy coastal trees. I've always loved to hike and see Mother Nature in her glory. But three years ago this pleasant memory was invaded by a tragedy, of human Columbines left dying in a high school campus library. And no one really knows why. Families and friends still cry. Even so, the spirit of freedom and love steps forward to greet tomorrow. And while the flower columbines grow and thrive on the coastal plains, under the warm California sun, I wish only for the best for the other Columbines, and hope that their best days are yet to come. The tragedy is over and done, and it's time for all to move forward into the healing light of today. This is dedicated to all the souls who suffered from Colorado's Columbine High School tragedy three years ago, today. May the forces of healing be with you. |

(tears fall down my cheeks) Being a native to the area around Littleton in Colorado and knowing a friend whose buddy was shot in the tragedy, I can't help but cry every time I reflect on this day and the many traumatized by the crime. (big hugggssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, I too join you in these prayers so very much and wish healing for all the families of those hurt or killed! We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is a compassionate classical tribute! You have such a beautiful, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Thanks to each of you for your replies. Noah, it must have been especially difficult for the youth in your area to come to grips with this. There is so much visible violence in the world, yet many people act as if they are immune until it happens in their own backyard. I sense the level of disbelief is still deep within the residents of Littleton and the surrounding communities. Hopefully, some lessons can be learned that might help prevent these tragedies from happening again. |

Alicia, peaceful hugs, thanks for reading and commenting. Jeff, thank you. You're right, you really can feel the air of despair that hangs over places of tragedy. |
