Consider The Source

Can you believe everything you’re told?
Do you always buy the tales you’re sold?
If someone says that they’ve seen me
Somewhere where I shouldn’t be
Before you start to fuss or raise the roof
It would be wise to check their proof
Their whispering lies aren’t always true
I’d consider the source if I were you

If someone says in strictest confidence
I suggest you see their actual evidence
A scrap of lace might just disguise
A seething pot of malicious lies
Sometimes deception relies on such
Misunderstanding a feathered touch
Some things aren’t what they seem it’s true
I’d consider the source if I were you

Have your eyes ever played tricks on you?
What appears isn’t necessarily true
If someone wants to add a certain spin
While they hide their motives deep within
Before you condemn without fair trial
Just check your confidential file
A hidden agenda can twist all of true
I’d consider the source if I were you

Interesting...my girlfriend sometimes thinks that I am interested in other women...she has a little bit of a jealous streak...I am not interested in any other women...she is everything to me...so when she starts questioning me I will ask her why she wants to be mad at me...why is she trying to find a reason to be mad...that usually calms her down...I tell her that I love her and I will do nothing to change her reason to love me...I reassure her...it works...James

(big huggsssssss) This is wonderful, sweet friend, it too can always be bewildering when hanging onto love, for I too am in love with only one girl and I want her so much and no other girl has even loved me anyway! (kiss on cheek) This is a very powerful point in your poem, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Marsha, thank you for sharing!
