Assured of Victory by Michael Just outside my bedroom window, I hear you giggling under breath and hear your scraping ‘gainst my screen, but you can’t come in, you’re Death. The sickly smell of hospitals, and slain young men on battlefield, family pets on side of road. There’s so much power that you wield. My window’s locked, your distance, keep. It is not time for me to leave. I’m much too young and I refuse, to let you make my loved ones grieve. So drag your coffin back with you. Fill in the hole, lest YOU fall in. The God of all is in control and with His mercy I will win. My attitude is that of hope. Assured, I am, of victory. In Jesus’ name I will be healed. Don’t believe me? Well, wait and see.
