Mayflower On the edge of silver waters On the fringe of Wellfleet's sound There's a ghostly vision present Where a ship was heaven bound Freedom's passion was her bearing Man's desires were her winds Peace of mind her destination Intuition was her kin Skimming gentle crests of pleasure Phantom vessel slowly slipped Sea birds were the only witness To a strange intruding ship It was here it touched the treasure It was here they saw the face Of a dream of unknown measure In a distant nowhere place Still she sails into the waters On the fringes of the bay In the minds of those who stand and Watch her slowly sail away Elizabeth Santos April 18, 2002 [This message has been edited by Sunshine (04-19-2002 09:26 AM).] |

"Freedom's passion was her bearing Man's desires were her winds Peace of mind her destination Intuition was her kin" Right on the money, Liz. I'm keeping this one. |
