this path is winding,
the way is dark,
no soul does accompany me.

who is my kindred?
where are my peers?

emptiness...
loneliness...
struggling, and striving
wandering, and worrying

not so much as a soft touch
or a kind word
or a bright smile
from another.

i trek in solitude,
and none will celebrate my journeys end,
but i will rest alone.

(sigh) This is so very sad and hauntingly wonderful, sweet friend, my heart goes out bto you and I hope your yearning is fulfilled now with a friend to comfort you always!
