We spoke easily One to the other in turn taking As we sipped coffee in those pregnant pauses That came with thought or simply losing ourselves In the passing ones and two of people carrying name marked bags Treasures I suppose picked up in dreams of fashion Shaping a reality that existed only on slick paper images It was the way your eyes caressed mine Probing to see what was behind the words and smiles With gentle soft burrowings of plead Don’t hurt me Don’t lie That touched me first Then your hand reached across the table As you made a point and touched the back of mine As if to say can you feel too the words Or do you just hear them as they are offered And file them in some way for retrieval Not letting them become imbued with the essence Of their true meaning and implication Still you spoke easily And then as it was time to leave Bent over and kissed my cheek Speaking to another part of me Just as easily |

It seems familiar, perhaps I just want it to be familiar... Even a repost looks good on you... |

(smiles) Oh yes, yes, I do remember this one so very well, and I am so happy you re-posted this too, sometimes I too forget if I post a poem here or not! (big hugggsssss) You and Dark Stranger always are the masters at descriptively detailing passion in story-telling verse, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ron, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

Ron: "It was the way your eyes caressed mine Probing to see what was behind the words and smiles With gentle soft burrowings of plead Don’t hurt me Don’t lie" Only a man who listens would hear these words...a gentle man. Enjoyed this scene. |

Then your hand reached across the table As you made a point and touched the back of mine Gave me memory chills...thanks. |
