Special Day!

We didn’t meet in the usual way,
I simply said This is a special day.
and said it in an ordinary way.
But she replied What on earth did you say?
I said it again and she was aghast!
What in the world, are you out of my past?

I cannot believe this! she said to me,
said it in a voice that was touched with glee.
Oh yes, this is a special day alright,
the very same day we both saw the light!
Now we can share in the celebration
of this common day or our creation.

So let’s raise a toast, three cheers and a boast,
to this one fine day that we love the most!
