The Weed (or, first impressions are overrated!) |

While walking out of doors one day She noticed a weed growing Blown about by the April wind And bathed in the sun's gentle glowing She paused for a moment but walked on by For it was just a weed Just a weed and nothing important No one paid it any heed. The following days went on by Just as they had before She walked the same path, ignored the plant 'Twas just a weed and nothing more.... But nourished by the sunshine And the falling of the rain The weed began to blossom She saw it once again There, sprouted, standing straight and tall Was a daisy, fresh and fair Instead of the lowly, ugly weed For which she thought she'd never care. The first impression that you notice Can sometimes be all wrong So just keep your eyes open and watch for a change It will happen beffore very long. 4-17-02 All Rights Reserved ~skyshine I'm in charge, and I say question authority! (smiles) Yes, yes, I believe every living thing on Earth has a life and beauty inside of it that can be hidden, but there will always come a day when its true beauty is revealed and the second time around the results are enchanting! (kiss on cheek) This is gorgeous, sweet friend, we all love you so much, I LOVE IT!!! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! I know that I have lots of weeds in my back yard now that I should have dug up before they got so big...James |

Hmmm...I wonder, have you seen my boyfriend? <---yep, a cheap shot. But I am a lover of daisies, and all things wild and wonderful. Thank you for the words of wisdom. |

Indeed, excellent words of wisdom. First impressions cannot reach the depths of who we are, nor can they see the beauty within which is often MORE lovely. You're very wise and I thank you dearly for this. Michael |
