Underneath my smile Underneath my style Hidden from your view Known to just a few Lurks a presence dark One that leaves its mark Taunting me for years Snickering at my tears Spoiling trips and fun Halting plans before begun Creeping up on me it's play Trying to ruin my day Panic is it's name Breaking spirits is it's game. But my spirit shouts, "Enough!" "It's time to show your stuff" "Passions is your second home" "Write your feelings in a poem" "The poets will help you fight" "For they honour love and light." So that is what I'll do Borrow strength from all of you. Panic holds the losing card - Passions soldiers are on guard. Nightshade Apr. 2002 |
