Iambe told me
“she really likes you”
and I laughed.

I’d talked to her a bit
While Iambe had danced
But other than what I had seen
As the alcohol animation she had
Really hadn’t given it much thought

Seems they had run into one another
Down at the store and she had asked Iambe
“Is he good to you?” followed by
“I think he is so funny.”
And Iambe came home to tell me again
How dense I could be.

Iambe wasn’t jealous exactly
More laughing at me for not seeing what she did.

I let it drop and worked the conversation
Around to talking about Iambe
One of her favorite subjects if she wants to talk
While inside I smiled
remembering a glimpse of white lace
and the eyes that had looked at me
Wondering what was beneath

I think you should listen to Iambe.

I think she's right.

"she really likes you"

ahhhh yes....now we're getting warmer...
ummm I mean...youre getting warmer  LOL
keep them coming as the muse allows...
moths are insatiable...you'll have to say when.

yes?....and then?....hmmm? Chris

Ron

So intricate, the in and out of human connection, and subtle meaning.  A fascinating poetic story you write!

Cat hair~ Yeesh, it's like watching tv!   I think I like this more though...your imagination has more freedom.  lambe doesn't know how lucky she is!  Although it would be interesting to see things from her viewpoint, maybe it'd be a different story.

Loving these!
