More than friends
Less than a couple
Somewhat Lovers
Headed for trouble?

Best friends to be exact
Climbing up the ladder
A drama queen may over react
When love's the subject matter

I want to love you
Without the fear of losing you
I want to kiss and hug you
Without ever confusing you

I feel we are two peas in a pod
Put together by none other than God
Two sunflowers dancing in a field
Somewhat lovers, starting to yield

We could be lovers
If you want that risk
Am I in love with you?
I plead the fifth

(sigh) It hurts me so much to see such a gorgeous poem with so few replies buried down here, especially from the girl I love so so much!

Wait, I KNOW!!! I'll give it a nice bump back to the top! YAY!!!

You will always be the lover of my heart, sweet friend, I love you my Joanna!

Somewhat lovers. Time will tell, and some of it needs to be in real time. I do understand though. Who will be traveling?

Joanna...

When dreams taken to heart
of love wanting to start
Awake in the morn new
one love found just for two..

You will find this love...I think he knocks
upon your door...

RosePetal, this is such a lovely poem!!! I really like this stanza...

I want to love you
Without the fear of losing you
I want to kiss and hug you
Without ever confusing you

I think it hits my button, coz that's how I think I react in love. Thank you for sharing this!

Let's hear it for the 5TH!!!

My son went through this --- best friends that thought they wanted more but were afraid of upsetting the cart and THEY ARE A FANTASTIC COUPLE!!!

Go for it...if it doesn't work you've really lost nothing because if the friendship doesn't survive, then it was gonna fade anyway...this I believe.  Just hold back the LOVE bit until you get the LIKE bit down somewhat (beyond friends I mean>

Good luck!!

I love the way you wrote this, Joanna...

This morning, I spoke to my ex-daughter in law (we are still friends ) and she is in a relationship, somewhat like the one you describe in this passage.  It was just so ironic to see it here because thats exactly how she described it to me.
