I give to Him your heart to hold
to keep from earthly harm
I give to Him the moments told
of all your worldly charm.

I leave to you the softness shared
from dreams of us each night
I leave to you the passions flared
in words I boldly write

I wish to you eternal peace
a smiling , laughing face
I say to you, I now release
returning you the space

I left a bit of me behind
half of my broken heart
I left it there that you might find
carry with you each part

I’ll keep you here where you’ll reside
for life and eternity
I’ll let you remain and abide
as always you will be.

So it is and so it shall
in life and love and all
truest moments swell
in dreams of our recall.
