She Rides The Quilling Wind
~*Marge Tindal*~

Deep from within the inkwell
she seeks the words to convey
graying thoughts of a clouded mind
on an otherwise sunshiny day~

Oh this magical moment
when the fog lifts so she can see
She rides the quilling wind
to the edge of ecstasy~

Flourish of quill across the page
in calligraphic surrender of it all
Long before the ink has dried
she's forgotten the winds of recall~

She hopes the wind will blow again
taking her mind for a poetic ride
Back to a time of yesterday's rhyme
where her thoughts must surely hide~

Tonight she'll gather nostalgic garments
trying them on for rhyme
The words, the words ... she seeks the words
from another place ... another time~

Penning thoughts, on infrequent flights
unraveling too long in the well
When all the mindstrings of the past come undone
her ink-thoughts will no longer dwell~

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

Auntie Margie girl ohhhhh this is sooooooooo incredibly good, your mind and thoughts are really reaching out tonight and this is amazingly beautiful writing. Your writing is always exceptionally inspiring, this is even more so and I love it as always do. I don’t know how you do it my sweetest auntie of heart but whenever you write I’m carried away on your words. This is really fine writing and YOU are an exceptional excellent writer of superb talent.

Marge

I hope somehow to be like this, when other things of gone far gone...the words will blow across me and I'll pen something heart strung.

Hugs!

Marge
This is another beautiful write from your pen.
This is exceptional...

                     "Tonight she'll gather nostalgic garments
                                 trying them on for rhyme
The words, the words ... she seeks the words
from another place ... another time~

                          Penning thoughts, on infrequent flights
unraveling too long in the well
When all the mindstrings of the past come undone
her ink-thoughts will no longer dwell~"

Those memories of life and times are certainly a rich source of topics for a poet!
Wonderful writing!

Sometimes I think we poets are fearful that we'll cease to recall, before the words of our surrender are all out~
This one sure felt good to me~

Marge,
It is always a plasure to open one of you poems.  It is like the much talked about box of chocolate....you never know what you will get....a soft smile...a tear...a hearty laugh or deep reflection.  But they all move me in some way.

Another beautiful and inspiring poem from you. This so touched my heart.

'...Oh this magical moment
when the fog lifts so she can see
She rides the quilling wind
to the edge of ecstasy~...'

I have been in such a deep fog since January. I am so praying it will blow out to sea come Thursday, the day I officially retire. Please let it be a 'magical moment.'

Hugs girlfriend, Marti

It's so good to see you~
Thank you ... here's hoping you always find your favorite piece of poetry in my little box of chocolate offerings~

Magnus~
I thank you gentle poet~

Karilea~

BettyLou~
Oh ... you read me well my friend~
Thank you~

Marti~
My heartiest wish is that Thursday will be 'magical' for you~
For I know the work-stress that has been brought to bear on you ... just breathe deeply, click your heels together and repeat three times -  "It's magical !  It's magical !  It's magical !"

That ought to do it !
Hmmmmmm ?  Retired ... maybe you should just take a vacation to FLORIDA in September to celebrate !!! (well ... think about it !)
