The Shores of Alone

(First in a rose series)

A lonely rose upon the foor
makes me contemplate so much more
days that you used to run to me
nights of together warm and free.

Remember when you gave the rose
which lies in dust under my toes?
It symbolizes such a loss
our love has gone, 'tis no small cost.

What changed so much over the years
to make us naught but bitter tears?
From warm to cold that withers dry
and still I have to wonder why.

(BIG HUGGGSSSSSS) Oh sandra, this is such a sad start to a wonderful series I just know will be wonderful, sweet friend, I hope the story slowly unfolds into a new replenished hope and joy in the end!
