To Conquer Fear

That fear should rob us of our strength
and will to fight, the chance to dream,
to forge in footsteps never trod,
for some, that is how it would seem.

But fear is such an empty threat.
If it be real, then all the more.
Fullness of life must hold regret.
These worries we must take to war.

A life that’s full is battles won
and challenges upon the field,
to drive the sword through chest of fear,
then savor as the blood is spilled.

With each new triumph we shall grow.
Not hardened, but more skillful be,
to conquer cowards, some call fear,
not slow our march unto the sea.

You view the stars through veil of haze,
but it will dissipate with strength,
so their soft glow be brightly seen,
If you care not the battle length.
