I thought, thought again...I was wrong
I thought you loved me, wanted me
I thought you cared, you needed me
I was the one, the one you loved

We talked, shared tears, shared laughter, words
For hours, almost constantly, so often
I thought, I felt, I dreamed of us
Again, once again, I was wrong

Your words flowed over me, bathing me
Your eyes gazed into me, my soul
I opened my heart and my arms
The emptiness I hold is of you

Across the miles, over the lands
from the sea to the oceans blue
A road traveled, rutted by wheels
A road alone, of only you.

I thought you would, you never did
My mind reeled from each shared moment
I felt we were, though we were not
Once more, I thought, I felt, I lost

A withered vine, my heart, weeping
falling slowly, spiraling to earth
Roots of my hands grasping, clutching
torn from the womb of my loves soil

Very sad, introspective piece on love lost.
Sometimes what seems so real on minute, fades into oblivion. It's our difficult resposibility to reconstitute our souls, and continue seeking the ephemeral beauty of love renewed.  Good luck! Been there myself.

Magnus,
You will grow yourself a pair of wings and fly away. Enjoyed.

I think we all have at one time or another.

I wrote this after reading a poem from
another poet...  I am that person in this
poem...speaking/thinking her feelings..

With a vengeance.....I hate when people
are led down a path...one which never
existed....

Thank You...

Sy....does that mean I get to become a
butterfly...Seems everyone loves them...
and the butterflies seem so helpful...

Well,  do I, do I????

Huh?

Magnus, I know well these feelings.  Still, I am sure, with such a romantic heart as yours, you will find the love you seek...

Tiersden...I wrote this with regard to a
poem that was posted by one of the lady
poets...  She had been led to believe that
another person's affection toward her was
to become something of a relationship...

Sadly,  it never was...and this poem is her
thoughts and feelings expressed through my
pen...

Sigh, your friend and I have much in common.
I wish I understood how this happens.
Well done.

(sigh) This is fabulous, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Oh my how easy it is to be decieved when one extends thier heart to love someone and the results are devestating because the return of the same love is mostly imagined, not really real.  It's not easy but then it's hard to define easy when the heart and love are involved!

I really enjoyed this!!!
