The sun lies sleeping
just over horizon line.
The sun's rest, weeping
its golden-white blue eyes.

My mountain viewy trees.
So snowy and clean.
You're like frost in July.
Unexpected on my pane.

Snowmelt trickle.
Sad smiles go to flow.
Not for lack of sleeping frost.
To peace in summer snow.

The rain fell like blue ice.
She turned to treeline shiver.
Her words were crystal intones.
Her kiss across the river.

We reconciled nothing.
Her hair fell down in songs.
I never knew her name.
Our days were grayly long.

The rain fell like green flame
into the darkest trees.
She turned to ocean lake.
I fell upon her wassail's eve.

She said burn ... together.

I love the personifications here, Mr.Squirrel.

this is startling imagery and yet so personal--so intimate...like staring at someone staring...feeling their goosebumps

I am blissful voyeur, again.

nite, Mike!

Squirrel....great write!

Love those verses!
