Big Dummy

You ever date a Marlboro man?
Mine was Randy.
First older guy I ever dated.

Girl, you should have seen him
work a sailboat -- shirtless.
He moved like he was in the America’s Cup.

See this picture of him?
Took that in the desert
on a camping trip.
Looks like a wolf, doesn’t he?
Hair blown back, running through the brush,
stalking prey.

Women stared at him,
they ate him right up.

He wasn’t too bright.
You couldn’t talk to him
about politics
or books
and you didn’t dare use big words -
he’d pout.

My brother called him
Big Dummy,
but damn, he looked good
on my arm.

Randy wasn’t too bright.
He couldn’t converse at length,
or discuss politics
or retain much of what he’d read,
and you didn’t dare use big words
around him.

My brother called him
Big Dummy,
but man, did he look good on my arm.

Good thing I'm laughing too hard to name any names myself.  (Don't think there was a Randy in there...lol).  But the blonde female equivalent and I so relate.
(Note to Tracey...burning my own bridges here...I want major points!).

Forgetting all I'm lacking
Completely and complete
I'll take your invitation
You take all of me

(giggles in delight) Oh Corinne, I've never seen this side of you before, but I like it, kind of reminds me of Alanis Morissette! LOL! (kiss on cheek) This is delightful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Corinne, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
