On this day of my remember as the breeze of Spring blew softly a child was born with eyes in glimmer peacefully sleeping so gently Through all the months as years passed by where freckles came and touched an ear Sitting and watching you grow in life counting the days of each passing year. You were a babe, but yet no more as now your teens are very near Big enough to stand, hold the door Upon this day of your twelfth year Once a little boy, my little man Hair of red above shining face You try so hard, hard as you can to beat me in most every race I love you Son, upon this day of your birth so long, long ago I wish you much, I want to say You’re my young man, I love you so. Happy Birthday Tim....You are now a young man... But, in my heart....you remain that little boy... (For my son Timothy...on his 12th Birthday...) |
