They Don't Know The stars are out of reach they say, calling us foolish lovers indeed Little do they know that your love entered me at an Angels speed All my life I've heard the same kind of story Dare to dream and you will probably be sorry They don't know you though, or what it's like to get lost in your eyes How my heart just quickens at the sight of you, and when we're apart how it cries They don't know what it's like to feel you close to me Or how it feels to have a love that is mine completely I can't promise that we won't ever stumble Some days will be rough and we will tumble Just remember though, that I love you so very much Watch me tremble and you'll know--as we softly touch No they don't know how in the night, I ache for your heat and kiss Daring not to see the truth, there is so much about you they will just miss When the world is against us, and the bitter cold threatens you and me Just hold on tight my darling, this love will carry us through, you'll see They don't know what it's like to have your lover also as your friend Or what forever means, that you don't just leave...but are there until the end Someday though, when you and I are both gone They'll hear a melody in the air, that of our love song Maybe then they will know "you can't stop the rain from pouring down can't stop the world from turning 'round can't stop me from loving you no matter what you do" [This message has been edited by Aimster (04-12-2002 11:18 AM).] |
