I'm in a mood today. Tell me about 'I miss you' as time flits by. Hours are seconds that keep calling me back - yanking each skien of the fate I preordained. Make-shift smiles hide me even though the cracks betray me... Belie my very intentions! All I wanted was your happiness, but somehow that centralized around my desires. I kept telling myself it was meant to be, though time has a way of proving you wrong. Oh but no - no, now is not the time for again, 'cause I'll just be me - again. How can now be good, when 'was'...was perfect? Even still, I look forward to this now-step not looking back, lest I fall into then - again. |

I have "moods" now and then, too... but you "do" yours so well! |

Moods well portrayed through your words here...... And this is the capper..... "How can now be good, when 'was'...was perfect? Even still, I look forward to this now-step not looking back, lest I fall into then - again." Oh how easy it is to fall into used to be....but that's where it remains, perfect or not, somewhere between was and then. Good write! |

"How can now be good, when 'was'...was perfect?" a very valid question... one that makes me think back on something you mentioned in my last poem regarding static/malleable memories... BOL you. |
