Time is of the essence, As you consume yourself, Don't drag my heart into this, You know what I have felt. Tommorow isnt clear for you, As guilt finds its place, You could never understand, As these tears run down my face. I know that I don't love you, Enough to make this right, I can never change you, Even if I am your wife. Your carelessness it haunts you, And wakes you from your sleep, You try to pretend that being lonley, Is the same as missing me. Your bed was never empty, But your soul was dark and cold, My heart was so fragile, I was just sixteen years old. But you have made me wise, To all that I must face, This tiny child we created, Is mine alone to raise. This heart can not be broken, Becuase it belongs to him, The only one to truly love me, I've realized since then........ That you never did. |
