Naked to the Eye The moon is my blanket tonight, the breeze, my flowing night gown I am clothed only in my soul, Which stepped outside of me to see The outer world I am naked only to the eye But my skin wraps around me in The aura of my spiritual self And I feel clothed in glimmering silk My eyes have not the emptiness of death But only the absence of life The glimmers of moon and stars In my eyes Are but a reflection of thought And not a portrait of my essence If you cannot see who I am, Look not at my nakedness as beauty Look not into my empty glimmering eyes For you do not yet know me When I am clothed in cotton And the moon and stars are hidden And you truly see the beauty of who I am Then you may say, “I love you” Elizabeth Santos [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Santos (05-30-2002 10:57 PM).] |

When I am clothed in cotton And the moon and stars are hidden And you truly see the beauty of who I am Then you may say, “I love you” WOW!!! You really do write most elegantly. I do love this... ...and her crown was formed by the ice in her eyes |
