Baby please forgive me if I failed to think of you and all the years we shared our love and faith. And I know you think I've wronged you I see a deep hurt in your eyes and girl my heart's about to break. But I been hopin maybe somehow If I could get the truth to you that you'd see between the rumours and my claims. Cause I see roses on the corner table a tinkling piano haunts the air and beneath our wedding picture I see you in your favorite chair and I see myself standing there knowing nothing's really changed and in your blue-eyed radiance I need your smile without the blame. I was drivin back from Houston and wishin you were with me With your glowing face and knowing eyes In the late night I got lonely thinkin how you share thoughts with me so I gave a hiking girl a ride She was just someone to talk to and wish that she could be you but now I wish you'd see through these crushing lies Cause I see roses on the corner table a tinkling piano haunts the air and beneath our wedding picture I see you in your favorite chair and I see myself standing there knowing nothing's really changed and in your blue-eyed radiance I need your smile without the blame. The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up spaces of consciousness and resistance; to language oppressions; to re-language historie [This message has been edited by ethome (05-30-2002 04:36 PM).] |

Eric Always the road beckons and the blues sing with the white line taking you away from that sweet scene of the loving room...oh, sad story in song, the blues is you! |

Thanks Martie...That's what my daughter is always saying...."Dad the blues is you!" I don't know whether that's a good thing or not?!? Thanks again. |

Kind of like setting yourself up for some heartbreak... Remember that old Johnny Cash song. "I keep a close watch on this heart of mine...because your mine I walk the line." I know...you were just talking...James |

PT darling heart this is wonderful it simply throbs with an ache threaded through it. Pure blues darling heart, I can feel the pain of that feeling deep in my soul in this. You’ve written this so incredibly well. Not many people can write emotion as well as this it’s excellent. You of course can you always could. You know darling boy, I’ve come a long long way in the two years I’ve been here, and always threaded through my special thoughts is you. This is simply exquisite writing, and you have to know I love it utterly. Truly you are the voice of the BLUES Wonderful writing Love and warm stuff As always Mushy Breathe through the heat of our desire |

I think that as the female population reads this, she will think it was for her...and if the male population reads this, he will think "why didn't I write this?" |
