She bakes, she cooks, she cleans and sews
A baker by choice,  treats and doughs
She can do what anyone can
A woman of beauty, not a man

The buns she makes, mouth watering
The cakes she bakes, angel’s will sing
Her pies are the best of the state
And boy, don’t you ever be late

Listen Sonny, you hear her say
No sticky  bun for you today
Cause you don’t think I’ve got a clue
So...shove it and take a hike too.

For bakin’ is my one true claim
since I’m no longer a young dame
For nigh on forty years or more
I’ve been in charge, the bak’ry store

I cook, I clean, I shake and bake.
I even shovel hay with a rake.
My buns, so sweet, with sugar shake
A humble pie for you I’ll make!!!!

(big hugggsssssss) Ooohhhhhh...this is a very tempting and indulging poem, sweet friend, I know Karilea must have smiled reading this and blushed, for she truly does so so much just as she is a w onderful friend and poet! (sigh) This is excellent, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Magnus mumbling incoherently,  mouth too
full to speak...Sun shoving another one
down his throat....Muttering something
about "I'll show you a sticky bun or two,
here.....have another one"....

Magnus falls off chair onto floor, gasping..

Milk.....please....milk!!

Magnus darling boy I love this one I love it when you get to play. Now don’t turn your back on Kari, she’s a tricky one, she’s definitely got a lot going for her.

Sticky buns This I LIKE a lot.

Magnus beware she’s coming after you
I warn you dear boy your rhyming days are through
When Kari gets ready to bake you a pie
She may well sling it right in your eye
I’ve seen her eat poets like you before
Then turn around and say Mushy give me more
I’m not telling tales but who’s missing round here?
I’d watch it darling boy or you she’ll soon spear

This is wonderful. I love it utterly utterly love it

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire

I loved this and I'm rather fond of sticky buns so I hope you've put the kettle on because I'm coming over!

Take care......Sue

Hey, I can relate to this...especially
the "wife" part...where you state..."shove it?"...LOL....I remember this:

I was flying my kite one very windy day
It was spinning round and round in a careless kind of way,
From my wife at the window, I heard this screeching yell,
"Hey Toerag!, what you need is a little more tail!"
Well if that didn't confuse me, it was only late last nite,
That I asked her and she told me to go fly a kite!
