The night was bright with Luna's light, ...a calm on land did lay, As golden sheen of midnight moon, ...fueled firmament's display. Pale glow of stars fell soft as rain ...upon the earth below, Joined with the moon in heaven's bloom ...in splendor to bestow, Angelic grace; the world encase, ...in star's shine opaltine, Sweet welkin's song of midnight's long, ...glows soft the night divine. |
