He Didn’t March Today He didn’t march today, or yesterday, And at moments he would only pray. The mist in his eyes told a sad story, One that usually showed his glory. Frail, and aged, a river would flow, When memories hurricane did blow. At seventeen he marched to respond, Listening, and creating special bonds. Devoting many a hug to a fallen man, Reaching a plateau, sharing his hand. He walked miles in his own shoes, Yet it was others he would choose. Knowing they were more applied, Enhanced within him a realm of pride. The Morning air usually a delight, Yet, he was ready and willing to fight. Our country he deemed a blessing, While many a teen, were second-guessing. Priorities to one, can be fear to another, Fright for him, came from his mother. Continued diligence, and determined ability, Earned him many merit badges of civility. He learned as time went on harsh lessons, Wishing he could just work the delicatessen. One day while in the field he saved a man, Than fought for his life the best one can. He never walked again, yet he’ll always be, One who holds our country for all to see. |

Miss T darling girl this is utterly utterly fabulous, this invokes in me so many feelings, and each of them is clear in your intent here, this is a wonderfully well written poem I love it utterly. This brings to mind those lines My friend, you would not tell with such high zest To children ardent for some desperate glory, The old Lie: Dulce et decorum est Pro patria mori by Wilfred Owen You’ve really reached inside here, very very well done Love and warm stuff As always Mushy Breathe through the heat of our desire |

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Ms. T, this is so very sad, sweet friend, while my heart honors and salutes all the heroes and patriots who sacrificed their lives to save our freedom, my heart cries out to those soldiers and their families who were injured and affected by the horrors and my heart goes out to them all! (BIG HUGGGSSSSSSS) God Bless You, sweet friend, I join you in your prayers, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Thank You for this tribute...Many of our heroes live as does this man...And most if not all would do it again, if they were asked... |
