Ah Poet, Kansa winds can calm the mind or put to edge a nerve once fair but nothing like a Kansas breeze can happen to one from anywhere it is a breeze that tinkles chimes and brings the howl of wolf to moan it is a hope eternal sprung to turn windmills to water loam I stand beside the day with you 'neath Kansa wind and sky to greet the gold streaked heavens gift and blend our grateful sighs. |
