In the trembling
of letting you go
it’s your love
that remains
sustains
and keeps me
until your touch
is no longer an ache
.....

No time soon.

but I'm lonely now, and I don't know how
to get it back to good

Cowboy,
I hope it is soon....

Tracey,
for me, it won't be that long....but still
far too long, ya know?

Hugs for both of you

is that a true possibility? it's been three years... and that still isn't true. i think the ache is always there, it just gets muted over time.

wonderful wish Susan, and well said (couldn't avoid a little rhyme though, could ya? )

hugs

aww Kissy Face, I can't help the rhyme
it was just there three years? No I don't think the ache ever goes away fully, but when you know they are coming back, it makes the ache "do-able"

I love it when that picture
is used by poets - there are
so many thoughts that can
flow from it...

thoughts like these...

(big hugggsssssssss) Oh Susan, this is beautiful with a tinge of sadness, sweet friend, I hope now true love fills your heart with delight and the afterglow of it is soft and light and never aches! (kiss on cheek) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Susan, thank you for sharing!'

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

It was 3 years ago this past Wednesday, that my first husband died.  We have been watching videos of him, all week...and, the ache is still here, but they are tinged now, with pleasant memories he left for all of us.

A simply beautiful poem!

Three years for me too, and still an ache, but learning to keep it at bay.  Splendid write, but I do believe it takes a lifetime.

This is so haunting.  The pain and the relief. Just beautiful.

Sea, I love this poem, and the picture. I wonder if the ache ever really, truely goes away.
