is that a true possibility? it's been three years... and that still isn't true. i think the ache is always there, it just gets muted over time.

it was just there

three years? No I don't think the ache ever goes away fully, but when you know they are coming back, it makes the ache "do-able"

It was 3 years ago this past Wednesday, that my first husband died. We have been watching videos of him, all week...and, the ache is still here, but they are tinged now, with pleasant memories he left for all of us.

A simply beautiful poem!

Three years for me too, and still an ache, but learning to keep it at bay. Splendid write, but I do believe it takes a lifetime.
