With the captivating brilliance of the beauty in your eyes Billions of stars in the heavens shine valiantly every night The compass of my unguided life would forever be thrust awry If I was to never again behold such a lovely sight At times when I gaze upward into the deep ocean of black I may witness a shooting star racing the sky with all it's glory Though it remains expressionless knowing it's days are numbered A sense of sadness falls upon me to see it tell it's final story Shooting stars can somehow relate to feelings of love here on earth I always hang my head with grief when fate calls upon them to depart Knowing they have left an impression in the time they have spent up high For their ever majestic presence has left a defining impact on my heart When God decided to create you he made the most brilliant star of all You shine brighter than the others through such an ever loving soul Whenever I begin to miss you my angel all I have to do is look at the sky The honor and grace that you portray will shine forever and make me whole Staring into the sun just makes you blind to what beauty actually exists in the sky. |

Wow, thanx a lot Marsha! You are way too kind to me, and I do appreciate all of your kind words. I wrote this for my girlfriend that is living out of town until the end of the year, and gave it to her the day she left (my nickname for her is My Star). You are so beautiful Marsha! Staring into the sun just makes you blind to what beauty actually exists in the sky. |

Thanx a lot Magnus for saying I have talent, I am intrigued myself at your level of talent also. I did immensely enjoy writing this poem, I had to do a lot of thinking to get it just right. Staring into the sun just makes you blind to what beauty actually exists in the sky. |

Thank you Zinsser, I do enjoy cosmic endeavors myself, the stars have fascinated me since I was a young boy. Staring into the sun just makes you blind to what beauty actually exists in the sky. |
