From my archives, one I wrote in 1999 that rings so true today, though at the time it was written, was merely a dream...

The Glory of Love

The glory of love is to set us free
Its warm light shines from Crystal sea.
It is comfort given in soft and gentle breezes
The power of love sets free, unfreezes
Soon hearts melt, spring bursts forth
Within the heart that once knew no worth
Caterpillars emerge as beautiful butterflies
As true love spreads it wings towards the skies
No longer in silent darkness, damp and cold
But into glorious light, where love reigns bold

The glory of my love is to set you free
To warm your soul it emanates from me
Melting your heart with comforting breezes
It's power to defeat the gloom that freezes.
In radiant splendor spring bursts forth
Enrapturing our hearts that once felt no worth
Miracles fluttering together as butterflies
Love's faith (flight) soaring aloft beyond blue skies
Away from the darkness of cocooned cold
Up into the shining light where love reigns bold.

Together now, to sing, dance, and laugh at last
Forgetting all that lay behind, the heartache of the past.
Together now, to share, explore, and discover
A whole new world of happily ever after
Two lost souls once frayed and abandoned
Found each other and in true friendship bonded
Two lost, lonely souls as colliding shooting stars
Now cosmically linked--forever is eternally ours!

Dulcie my dear friend oh my this is utterly utterly wonderful, your pen is perfectly poetical. I love I love it utterly utterly And this is so spectacular, gently softly reverential. The questing thought of love is exquisitely written darling heart, absolutely exquisite.

Sometimes you drop pearls of wisdom into quiet pools of wonder, and the ripples across that silent pool of thought reach out to another soul, this is such a time. Utterly breathtakingly perfect. Thank you for this beauteous gift

You know I love this don’t you? Of course you do. Absolutely perfect writing

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh

Hello Dulcinea

You captured the very essence of love and the images you portrayed were magical.  I'll look forward to reading more of your beautiful words.

Take care.....Sue

YAY!!! Awwwwwwww, I love this, sweet friend, we are all caterpillars and may we metaphorosize happily into butterflies in love and rise to the springs in our hearts with a symphony of joy to last forever! (kiss on cheek) This is gorgeous, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I can't get enough of this wonderful poem!
It just makes me want to write beautiful
poetry even more, you have inspired me!

Staring into the sun just makes you blind to what beauty actually exists in the sky.

I really liked the way you paralleled your first two stanzas and then tied it off at the end. Well done.

Absolutely beautiful, Dulcinea. Sometimes dreams do come true. My favorite:

I loved this closing line, especially, Dulcinea....but also loved the whole poem.
