In darkened sky
And darkened mood

With sadden smile
And lowered head

The glimmer of joy
Turned to a dull grey

I look apon you
With love holding sway

And into the heavens I reach
To do what only love can

To bring you a Star
To adorn your hand

I like this. Its short simplicity is still laced with very fine imagery. I also like how you emphasized the word "Star" by capitalizing the first letter. Cool, and a nice read.
