Touch me
With the gentle stroke
Static charged on skin
Leaving tingling trails
From tips of fingers
To map the places you have been
Pointing to places you would go

Touch me
With feathered eye
Tickling mine until I laugh
At the anticipation of being reflected
For another day
Or another minute

Touch me
With rough housed smile
That shoves aside the bullying thoughts
Of being alone
And being lonely

Touch me
With soul soft kiss
So I can feel the tender
Of being loved

Good morning, Ron

"Touch me
With rough housed smile
That shoves aside the bullying thoughts
Of being alone
And being lonely"

I love this "rough housed smile".  The playfulness and the longing combined.  Very well done, my friend!  Hugs!

yes...tis all about the anticipation..
the wanting and needing to be touched is sometimes more than the touch itself...
the danger lies in having it...and then having to go back to needing it again.

Felt the many different tingles in this Capt...

All of this, and especially the last stanza, hit me hard.
I know the feeling, very well.
Great poem, Ron.
