I may not be with you physically
But rest assured I am there somewhere
Your words have comforted and inspired me
I wanted you to know how much I cared

I'm unable to hold your hand
But my words are warm and true
As I can feel your pain and heartache
But cannot imagine what you're going through

You've encouraged and befriended us
And through your eyes many of us see
So if ever you need a shoulder
You can always lean on me

Your life has been plunged into darkness
Since that terrible Saturday
Your heart frozen in your grief
Your blue skies now turned to grey

I hope my words will give you solace
My flame of friendship burning bright
Just know I will be here for you
Even though I'm far from sight
